[TOOL] Orkut Pager - Scroll down to load the next page

Installation is quite easy. Just follow the steps...

• Make sure you have Mozilla Firefox installed. In order to make Auto pager work with Orkut we need to install a Pre-release version of this Addon. Install it from Here . If you are having any problem installing then Right Click ► "Save Link As" and then drag and drop the addon on your Firefox. This will install the Addon
• Now select all the codes below and press Ctrl+C to copy.

• Click on the Auto Pager icon beside the addressbar and goto Import/Export ► Import from Clipboard.
• This should give you an alert popup window as shown below. Click on OK. Now we shall check whether the codes are correctly installed or not.
• Again goto AutoPager ► Manege Settings. This should Open up a popup window like this. Click on Site Tab ► Expand Autopager.xml ► Click on the newly created URL pattern as shown in the image below. Now check to see that whether the followings match their respective values:
  ► URL Pattern: http://www.orkut.(co.in|com|com.br)/(CommMsgs|CommTopics|Scrapbook).aspx ► Link XPath: //a[contains(text(),'next >')] ► Content XPath: /div[@id='mboxfull']
  There should not be any problem on this. Now that you are done you should see AutoPager in work.
• Goto any community forum now. For now visit our DFS Forum. Now as you start scrolling down you should notice a loading... icon like this. Wait for a little bit and you will see the next page just after the end of the current page. Quite cool isn't it. Scroll down more and you will see the next page also. [You have to wait a little bit before the page gets loaded depending upon your Internet connection]
• Visit your Scrapbook and any community Forum page. You will see the same magic there also.

Now please dont forget to thanks the Designer of this cool Addon "Wind". Please visit their Forum Here and register and say thanks to them. This Addon is really time saving and now we will be able to take backups of our community posts in no time

[Update] Orkut introduces new IPL - Nokia Knight Rider theme

With the on going IPL fever all over the India, Orkut has now introduced a very good looking IPL theme for "Nokia Knight Rider" Fans. Personally I like this theme more than the Carnaval theme [Well I do live in Kolkata and I am a big fan of Knight Riders]. This new theme has a nice Gradient effect which makes it look cooler. Take a look at the screenshot below.

The theme also changes the Orkut logo at the bottom of the screen. Take a look at this screenshot... ►Note that this theme is temporary and will only be available until 24th May. So hurry up and grab this cool piece of Orkut theme before time runs out. ►To activate this theme please goto your Orkut Edit Profile Page and select the Nokia - Knight Riders theme. ►There are still some members who have not got this update [Even me also]. [Update] Google Latitude integrates with Orkut - Share your location and status message live with your friends

Google has introduced its one of its recent services Google Latitude, where people have to register their mobile phones and start sharing their status messages and location with your friends live on the web. So if you happen to be around you can contact your friends and catch up with them.

Now Orkut has introduced an app for Google Latitude. This is a big one up for Orkut users over other social networking sites. You must check it out if you have a compatible mobile handset.

[BUG]

We have been seeing many Bugs in Orkut, for example

• Communities "Next" & "previous" button does not give a hyperlink.
• Occasionally the post count is wrong or even goes down to zero
• Deletion of poll votes because of which the polls are inaccurate

But this Orkut's Bug adds unknown profiles as friends, random videos and communities on new profiles. One of our team member Praveen reported this and confirmed this incident from OUG. Upon creating a new profile he got TWO friends to be included in his list! Infact there are unconfirmed reports that even Communities, Videos are added along with some unknown friends!

We hope that orkut fixes this bug soon, and this is not an update to include new friends to new profiles... If you have faced these types of bugs or know anything about this then do share your experience with us through comments.

[Alert!] Facebook Ads have Subliminal Messages

This Screenshot is from the movie American History X featuring Edward Norton whose character was of a reformed Neo-Nazi activist. This ad was posted on the facebook in my profile and some people would find it racist. I think you should see the scene and decide it for yourself.

(Viewer Discretion is advised: This clip is meant for mature audiences)

Facebook provides a facility to report ads but sometimes it takes time to be taken down. But letting this ad pass through is outrageous. If you come across any undesired ad material then report them. Orkut should facilitate users to report ads.

Image editing on Corel photopaint - Excellent Double body effect

Our Blakut Team member Mac is Back has made this excellent tutorial on editing through Corel Photo-paint. With the help of this tutorial you will be able to embed your face [well or anyones] on anything you want. Its quite simple but effective. Normally Image editors cut the face and merge it with other but sometimes face was not matched, and it clearly shown that the edit, for good editing quality we should follow this tutorial! Here is what you need to do- Firstly we preassume that you have Corel Photo-paint on your PC. If not then grab one for you from these warez sites given on Blakut previously. Now that you have everything on your hand lets start for now. STEP-1: Opening the Pictures on Corel Photopaint:

• We can use any picture of our choice. For this tutorial we are using these two pictures
• PIC-1 : My own picture
• PIC:2 - Picture to be edited
• Now open both the pictures on Corel Photopaint. This will open them up on several tabbed windows.

STEP-2: Masking the image where we want to place custom face

• Cutting down the face is an easier method but not at all recommended. Besides if we do masking then things will be much professional and original type and its quiet easy too.
• Select MASK TOOL from mostly left side of the toolbar for masking on Image or click and hold 2 second on mask tool for different types of masks.
• Select third FREEHAND MASK TOOL
• Decide yourself which part of picture u want to mask. You can ADD or SUBSTRACT mask with CTRL and SHIFT key like these
• Ones you satisfied with your mask, (I mean see the shahrook’s face completely cover with the mask) press DELETE KEY.
• Now Image is like above picture, Select whole PIC with RECTANGLE MASK TOOL, and press CTRL + UPARROW (Create an Object),
• Open Object docker from MENUBAR > WINDOW > DOCKERS > OBJECTS (CTRL + F7). Find a Background in Object Docker. Select Background and delete it.

STEP3: Placing the custom image over the original image:

• Now open the PIC - 1 (My pic), Select the whole picture with RECTANGLE MASK TOOL, now press CTRL + UPARROW KEY or select MENU BAR – OBJECT > CREATE > OBJECT COPY SELECTION…
• Now you can see that the selection part is as a new object. Press CTRL + C (copy to clipboard), Open PIC – 2 (MENUBAR -> WINDOW) and press CTRL + V (paste) it; you can scale the image at your choice.
• Choose a MAGIC WAND MASK TOOL n just click on white area (Shahrook’s face), you can see that whole white area covered with mask, press DELETE KEY to delete it. Like this…
• Now select the PIC - 1 ( MY pic), you have to send that pic behind PIC - 2 (Shahrook’s pic) so follow this step MENU BAR - OBJECT > ARRENGE > ORDER > BACK ONE (CTRL + PGDWN) It’ll look something like this
• Now scale and adjust PIC - 1 (MY pic) as you like
• Select PIC – 2 (shahruk’s pic) and goto MENUBAR – OBJECT > FEATHER (CTRL + SHIFT + F) (feather it with 5 or 10), your pic’s border area will be semi transparent after feather. So both pics will automatically match with each other.

So the final Image isVoila! Its MAC on the photo!.... Quite effective isnt it! Please do leave a comment telling us how like this! And for any help you can goto this thread of our DFS community to directly ask Mac Some Tips in between your work:

• You can switch between two windows, follow these steps: -
• MENU BAR – Window > File 1/ File 2
• Rollover and Roll down your mouse roller for zoom in and zoom out, you can do your work pixel to pixel.
• With “ADJUST Menu” you can adjust color, brightness, intensity, contrast etc…..
• If this simple work is not simple for you, you can use EFFECT Menu for different creativity n destroy the Image.
• Every time u you make a mistake hit Ctrl + Z (undo)(After more practice you will less use undo)

Remember this is the basic tutorial; more practice would be created new Ideas in your mind…… NOTE:

• This thing can be a part of game, prank etc..... so totally for fun nothing serious....
• Don't used this to make an offensive and dirty image....
• Have sportsman spirit and enjoy editing in Image and have fun....

[Update] Lok Sabha is now on Orkut

With the election fever gaining pace across the country, Orkut has introduced a new community, ‘The voice of youth’. It is a huge step to understand the opinions of the public and probably the best medium to bring your opinion forward. Google India product manager Vihari Komaragiri,

“In this election, more than in any previous one, young people are going to make a difference - either by voting in more numbers or by getting engaged in the democratic process. And internet is providing them a powerful platform to do just that. Social networks have become a mirror of the real world and this community will reflect what is important to all of us and will help highlight the voice of the nation.”

Even Narendra Modi has started his own Youtube Channel with short speeches which he records at his residence in between his campaign tours. Politics is now becoming proactive and it is a big step towards transparency , fighting corruption to bring awareness to the masses. All the best India !

[Easter Egg] Hidden Logo in the new Orkut login

Orkut login window was updated today. One of the DFS members (StrifeX) found out that login window selects in a different manner and upon dragging it it reveals a difference image as shown above. Its hard to make any sense out of the hidden images in the logo. Can anyone here interpret and decipher symbols?
